When we moved our office in 2008 we left the fax machine behind, it was only gathering dust anyway.
No longer accept messages via fax, passenger pigeon or pony express. Should anyone want to fax things we just explain to them how to scan and email the document.

Tony and Suzanne, we have some clients that just don't email or are not comfortable with electronic signatures but have a home fax machine. Sharon has an eFax number for $12.99 a month and anything faxed to that number arrives as a PDF file to her email. No cover sheet necessary as it goes directly to her. So if you have room on your card, I would recommend it.

I do... amazing how often someone does use a fax to send documents or information. They all go into my computer/email, in any event. And there have been times when attorneys/banks have insisted on a faxed document.

Sorry, no choice; it's bank policy ! People in southwest Virginia still use FAX machines so the FAX number is right there below the toll free number.
I know; the toll free number is a whole 'nother question.

No. Faxes are included on multi-function printers, but are very seldom used. Plus, most people not in an office, don't have dedicated fax lines.

Yes. My fax number is an efax (goes to my email)
There are legitimate and important reasons why faxing is better than email primarily its inherit security. EMAIL can easily become compromised.
Wealthy people prefer to fax. They have their assistant or secy fax it.
It's not about what I use it's about giving easy access and options to my clients.

Sure.
I have a cloud fax number which doesn't get a lot of use, but there are some clients and businesses that fax documents back and forth. Believe it or not, some people can't get the hang of electronic signatures and some people don't have email.
I include my fax number mostly because I don't want people faxing anything to my office, which has happened. Not only could 40 or 50 people see the fax which usually has something confidential on it, but I have to go to the office to get it, instead of being able to get it where I might be. So yes, I would include.

As a loan processor, I need to receive paperwork however the client is able to send it. I actually receive many payoffs via fax. I use Metrofax as it is very inexpensive for a toll-free number. It allows me to send and receive faxes via email. Though I don't use it often, when I DO need it, it is invaluable!
I would say, if there is room for it on a business card, I would add it.

Yes, I recently had an attorney request fax only for security reasons. Every title company and every attorney I know has a fax # on their business card. I just had to fax a contract a few days ago. Even if every agent didn't have a personal fax #, they should have one at the office. I also just had to fax some docs to Bank of America for a client. Email was not allowed, it was fax only. If i was interviewing agents to consdider hiring, any agent that didn't have a fax # would be eliminated from consideration.
