Rain,
Each market is unique, what works in one place does not necessarily work elsewhere. In some areas open house are of no value. A

Sunday is still the traditional day but I see a big shift to Saturday which makes more sense. 12-2 or 2-4

Our traditional hours for public open houses are 2-5 pm on Sundays. I tried different times of the day and of the week, but Sunday works the best.

Well depends on the your market, and when other Open Houses are taking place. OR do you want to capture people coming home from work at an off hour that might get more notice? Or are theur sunset views that you want to capture?

For me it's been afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., any day of the week. I've had the best traffic on Sundays in particular, though it's also depended on what area in our community I'm doing an Open House in. Some areas always seems to have more people than others . . . Rain Silverhawk. I should also mention that my niche is an age-restricted community, so people are basically not going off to work and gone from 8 to 5 - they are around any time of the day!

It depends. For some, they will say -- there is NO best day and time for an open house.
I have had open houses on weekends as well as week days(as part of broker caravan/tours/previews which are still popular in my market). I have early mornings, mid afternoons and twi-light. For me, the "best" results would include proper preparation, good information and marketing.

I never hold them, so for me there is no good day or time. But I would think those are somewhat dependent on local markets.

Sundays work the best in our area but frankly open houses don't get the traffic they get in other areas.

Depends on customs in your area. In the city most opens are Saturday or Sunday with Sunday being the preferred day. During summer months some agents will host evening open 6-8 pm. Good luck.

It depends. Mostly Sunday 12-4 range, but in this area, if Redskins are doing well, and have a game on Sunday, Saturday open house would be better.

Good morning Rain. As long as there is no holiday or major sporting event, it doesn't matter to me if it is Sat or Sun, both have worked very well.

In my market any day is equal, with weekends maybe getting a little more traffic. 10 am - 2 pm is popular but I have found more traffic from 3pm - 6 pm.

It depends on the area, local customs and an analysis of open house traffic.

Rain Silverhawk - it depends on your area.
Generic answer can be - Sunday mornings 11-2 is what I find comfortable for most buyers...

That depends on your area and activities. Watch your MLS information and see what other agents are doing, that should help you in determing the best time to hold a successful open house.

I typically do 10-12 on Saturdays or 1-3 on Sundays or Saturdays. You catch those out before lunch on Saturday or after lunch. And on Sunday you catch the after church crowd.

Depends on the neighborhood. We have what I call garage sale areas. Those neighborhoods from 1-3pm on a Saturday rock n roll for me.

In Denver, Saturdays are better, and have had good turnout for anything after 11 am. for at least two hours, sometimes three.

Out here, the standard is Sundays from 1-4. We are starting to see more and more Saturdays and Friday nights. Each area is unique and open houses in general don't fly in some areas.
1,728,767
Just too many variables as it depends on the time of year, location, targeted buyers, etc.
3,350,589
All markets are different. I personally feel they truly do not serve a seller. In my area they are typically on the weekend between 1-4, 1:30-4:30, some will go 2-5 depending on the time of year.

Busy street 4 to 7 while people are making a long drive home from work. If not Saturday 12 to 3
