Nope, if you were an early adopter and got the best zip codes, and the majority of the slots, but not the scraps they have left now.

I will never pay for Zillow leads.  I have a colleague that pasy $345 a month for 10,000 impressions in his selected town.  He has received two viable leads so far.  All Zillow does is take our listings, sales stats, other publically available info, corner the market with their big bucks spending on SEO etc, and sell everything they attract back to us.

They are for zillow, but most agents that I have spoken to find them a way to throw away hard earned money that they cannot afford to spend.

A few do like them though.

I've never purchased leads from Zillow or anyone else.

A realtor friend signed up for leads and it cost him about $400.00/mo. on a six month contract.  Nothing.  A total waste of money for him.

I've occasionally heard agents say they've had success buying Zillow leads, but I don't hear it very often.

***yawn*** seriously, another Zillow question.

Instead of asking folk on here who most likely have little to no experience with Zillow, why don't you check out the agents in zip codes that you service and see how they are doing with it.

I unfortunately got sucked in by a phone sales person at Zillow by the name of Maxwell Mirman. I was told I would get 12,500 impressions on Zillow and a bonus of being on Facebook. Sounded great until I got the onboarding call, explaining that it is up to Zillow on how they divide the impressions which are somehow split between Facebook and Zillow. Not what I was told/sold by Maxwell, and Maxwell actually told me in my next call with him that "he takes responsibility" for the error and I could just have my impressions on Zillow. How about just honoring what I was sold on the phone? There is also NO proof of the number of impressions. Beware of this guy if he calls you so you don't get scammed like I did. Next stop, Attorney General.

No.  If you are staying in touch with your past client, encouraging your current clients to tell their family and friends about you, and responding to all call and inquiries ... why would you need Zillow?  Why pay for your own listings?  Alot of wasted time with Zillow leads who are also talking with 5 other agents.

To make a nationwide statement one way or another would be fair. I think you should go on there and see who your competition is. Keep in mind you have to have past sales and reviews or for sure it won't work.

I despise Zillow, their lead selling, and their zestimates.  That said, one of the top producers in our office swears by it.  He sells more than I do so who knows?  I prefer to grow my business year after year by referrals and working my database of past clients.

If your real estate business is designed to chase vapors, that is what a Internet lead amounts to, vapor, then handing dollars to the dark side can prove beneficial.

A solo operator whose business structure is 'value/realationship' based will find it extremely difficult to benefit from vapors.

However, Internet leads and the leads you can generate on-line are entirely different. Why? The leads YOU generate on-line are citizens who have self-selected. This is the type of lead the solo operator, who has limited bandwidth, can fully support.

Advise: if you jump into the 'internet lead' buying arena, you will need an assistant who does not have telephone calling phobia.

Do I support the dark side by sending them my money? NO!

You can sign up for a basic profile paying $10-20/month so people can find you.  Top agents wanting a presence buy  2 or 3 zip codes as premiere agent to get leads or block other premiere agents on your owner listing. Coldwell B. does that. They have 90,000 premiere agents paying on the average of $465 per mo nationwide.

There are agents getting listing from Z. Most leads are people months away needing hand holding as buyers.
