or at least, that's what my husband says !

Niver a default anything in my auto-responses whether by phone, text, or email. But my message is not 4 minutes long, either.

Mine is short; too bad we cannot have a fast forward for their's!

It always concerns me when the VM doesn't verify the user's name !

The person who does not know to hit * or # gets to hear the whole message.

I can not think of anything I need that bad.  Some one believes the caller does not have a choice. That could be a mistake.

I have a short message.

I have my own msg and it has alternative phone # to call if I'm not available.  Mine might be a bit too long, but it's not 4 mins.

4 minutes. Really? Eternity. I worked in radio--you'd be amazed what can be accomplished during a 4 minute song. HA! 3:)
Mine are set for 30 sec. I get my cell and Carmen's cell #s in there as well as instruction to leave phone number first, then message--or text us.

Some are so long, you just want to know what to press to get to leave a  message!

 I listened to a voicemail yesterday that I thought was incredibly long. Short, concise and society is the way to go.

My message is fairly long but I don't think it's 4 minutes. I might have to time it now to be sure.  It's pretty detailed.

It is my message and my voice and always has been.

Hi, this is Fred.  Please leave a message, thank you.

I have a short "can't come to the phone, leave a message" outgoing message.  Can't stand the phone number ones that don't identify the person, or the services that add in the "press # for more options..."

Short and sweet.  Otherwise the caller may hang up.

Those with the 4 min message get few call backs, not worth the time.

I went for short and sweet and funny.  Works pretty well.

I use a personalized message and should probably change it more often.

Mine is abrupt but effective. It took me years to get it just right. It works!

My voice ... personalized message.  I don't know how long it is ... maybe 30 seconds.  

Our main number is answered by a live person (24/7), this person then routes the call to either one of us depending on who the caller asks for.  If someone calls on our cell, the message is short and sweet.  A

that reminds me that I need to change the message that I have....we just changed our phone system and I need to record a new one...

Mine is my name & that's it. 4 minutes is AGONIZING .......

Right now it is a default, since I just changed it, but usually it is very short and sweet.
