Thank you for letting me know there is a Leaderboard.  I am a newbie.... didn't know about it.  I won't worry too much about checking on my "status".  I want to use this as an informative tool.  Although I am competitive, I don't want to spend my time checking my points.  My checking account is the number I care about.

29 two millionaires, 169 with a million or more

I am pleased that I am slowly creeping up the point ladder - not there yet to 1M - but eventually in time - .....

A Rainer with over two million points right next to a Rainer with barely five digits.   This ActiveRain platform is so amazing in the way that EVERYONE can participate and benefit on a level playing field.

I am a competitive person and I for one, find the points system challenging and motivating.  For a newbie, it provides a measuring stick for their AR performance and a validation of their AR accomplishments.

I am proud of and respect the members of AR that have been doing this for many years and have run up impressive point totals over that extended time frame.   I do wish some of them would STOP trivializing the points just because they have so many.   I bet the points meant something when they were just getting started and were doing self evaluation of their own performance.

So, while I commend those long timers who have the BIG totals, would you please, STOP throwing the Pooh, Pooh  at those of us trying to catch up with YOU ?   No offense intended and I hope you don't take it that way.

I never check. I'm a single millionaire and ranked #2 in my city and county and #3 in my state. I know who is #1 locally, have no idea who is #1 or 2 in the state. 

I LOVE the points and am pushing up the ladder for 2 million. I am Number 1 in NH and 67 national, I woudl like to crack that top 50

My daily activity is driven by points !

Out of 7210 members in Illinois, only 4 are millionaires and no 2 millionaires. I'm moving up on the list, but it will be some time for me to get there, but I will.

I haven't paid much attention to the leaderboard lately.  Just trying to get to free membership on this account.

Patricia Kennedy will likely be the first AR member to hit 3,000,000.

I check my island ranking (that is the county here). Otherwise no, I don't pay much attention to points.

Those people worked very hard to get those points. I see them blogging, posting daily.

As to the leaderboard, I do check it regularly, a couple times a week usually.  I want to see where I rank and where I'll be when I hit the next milestone, etc.

Check out my post about the "almost" 3 millionaire coming soon! So I looked at the Leaderboard - there are, as of today, 29 with 2 million+ and 140 with 1 - 2 million. I never look normally

Wow, it's been a while and I had no idea Patricia was that close to 3M.

Wow . . .  many (as in 'many'!) moons from now, you will see my name there, too . . .  I have never looked at the Leaderboard Fred Griffin - so good to know!  I have looked at Local though.

I use the points as a measurement of my participation, but it is fun to check the leaderboard!

I look at it pretty often but have not taken the time to count the different levels of millionaires.

Well, there are no 3 Millionaires - yet!  And yes, I'm a little obsessed at the moment.

There is one multi-millionaire, four millionaires and two knocking on the door to multi in NY.

I look and am doing ok for this area!

Points have actual value as you move up to and pass 500,000 points. Afterwards, it is simply a ranking of how many points you have based on your activity, other people's activity and the point award system in effect at various times over the years.

     500,000=3 months of time blogging= get you some AR friends

I watch my own points. I do like them. I set personal point goals for myself. 

I am self-motivated and look at the leaderboard for my city, county and state and then I check google to see where my posts are and found many to be on the first page.  Localism posts work!

I'm a millionaire but I don't check the leaderboard anymore.  Neither do our clients.

I have not looked for a while, and not moving, but that is OK.  It isn't about the points, it is about the phone ringing!  

I don't know the numbers but do know the points accummulate fast. I passed 2M about a month ago and it was very quiet. No fanfare, balloons, fireworks or bullhorns. There are more and more millionaires each month. Those that have been in a long time and that remember the old days know points were hard to get back then. Not so today.

Fred Griffin Can I sell my millionaire points? Good question!

The points matter only to get to the POINT of no fees.
