This question presents the need for multifaceted response.

There is the what I know that makes me different.

There is the what I know that makes a business difference.

Then there are those things that the buyer or seller values.

The delighted real estate professional has discovered and aligned all three, the deep water, the middle water and the ripples on top.

What makes me different, in the ripples dimension, is there is no box.

Great question VB.  My clients tell me it is that I work just as hard for a little deal as a big expensive one.  

I try harder and live my work.

I posted a Q like this a while back, just asking folks to reveal what makes them unique and special . . . a few people thought it vain and egotisical so I hope you fare better! LOL!
And your last sentence says it all for me. I want to look at your liquidation or acquisition as I would my own, and figure out what makes sense.

Good morning Bob. I know that a couple of my Realtor referral partners do a tremendous amount of business and there are lots of reasons why. One of the main reasons, they have built a referral based business.

Every client, no matter what price point, gets top shelf service and expertise.

Duh, I'm freaking awesome! 

Oh yeah, and my marketing tactics, connections, etc.

In our area, we care more about the clients than we do about the commission.  If we take care of our clients, we don't have to steal clients away from other agents among other things.

Each client is different. I do my best for either buyer / seller.  Working full time, communication, and getting the best deal for my client by giving it my all. 

Buyer clients told me today that they really like that I point things out about properties that they may not notice and that I don't pressure them to buy.  My timeline is their timeline.  

It's not that it makes me better than anyone, rather it makes me a good fit for these particular clients. It's just the way I do business.  

I know more than many agents in San Diego about San Diego communities. The reason is because I had to learn. when I moved here 6 years ago I knew nothing. Therefore I had to study it as if getting a PH.D. And transferred that knowledge to thousands of website pages.

the only thing that might set me apart is the consistent way I market....RELENTLESSLY.... when others do a standard amount of marketing, I do double.... and do it larger....I do it much more visibly....
