I would think that potential buyers would be out no matter what the weather does. But if they are truly serious, they would not rely on open houses, but have an agent help them, and I don't see many agents with buyers in tow go to open houses. After all, we open doors for them without having to brave bad weather or wait for open houses.

Rainy day attendees do seem more interested and on a shorter time table.

Yes, any guest at open house that braves the weather is a serious buyer for sure.

Thank goodness I don't have to worry about this. Open houses don't work in my area. It's been a few years since I've had to hold one. 

Most sellers say "No" to rainy open houses.  Too much dirt and mud and wet shoe prints.

Yes. If they are seriously looking for a home they will be out in the rain and cold.

We rarely schedule Open Houses anymore, and only if the seller insists.

I had an open house on a rainy day and no one showed. But if they did I am sure they would have been a serious buyer.

I would not hold an open on a rainy day.   Not as much traffic, and will mess up the floors/carpet.  

They do seem to be wetter, and so are the floors, important to bring a mop.

No, just glad to have something fun to do on a rainy afternoon.

YES, my last open house at a condo, i had 1 buyer come through, they were ready, it was too small though but she told her sister who did buy.
