Now we have some of these people doing local seminars selling their systems. One just advertised about how you can get money at 12% to 18% interest, and how you can do this part time and make a fortune. The money is with people who sadly believe that they can do this and get rich. It reminds me of the tent revival preachers who would bilk the poor out of the money thinking that God would bless them.

    It is painful to hear a Seller or Buyer say, "But I saw it on HGTV!"   It makes me glad that we threw away our TV sets 10 years ago.  Who needs it?

I don't watch any of these shows... not realistic to my way of thinking.

I do not watch tv, especially reality shows like that that have not a single reality trace in them.

I don't watch TV. I've never seen these shows. I've heard other members on AR talk about them, but I don't know anything about them. From your question...I guess I'm glad I don't.

I dont get the attraction to those characters at all.  They are beyond animated and in the real world wouldnt survive a week.

I catch the news now and again. And I watch the walking dead.  Other than that, I read.

The flips are entertainment. The gain in some of these smaller towns are not worth the trouble.

The people who are doing it here is with their own savings. If they lose that is too bad. It is never a sure thing.

I am not familiar with this show.

I heard that she was doing this but since I know her past history I am not interested.

Saw the show's name while scrolling through channels as alternatives to the never to be watched again Oscars. I appreciate the heads up and for saving some of my remaining brain cells Ryan.

I've watched many shows by "The Property Brothers", but they are not flippers.  The only show I remember watching was the husband and wife team on HGTV - "Flip or Flop" by Tarek and Christina.  I haven't actually watched much HGTV since the New Year though . . .  I don't know if they are still on, and have not heard of "Nicole and Jionni's Shore Flip" Ryan Huggins - Thousand Oaks, CA.

Have not seen it, and in fact have not seen much on TV lately.

These shows are all the same: the house is always more than they expected to pay, the rehab is always over-budget, some last minute major repair is always needed, the wife always wants high-end, the open houses gets a million qualified buyers, and the house sells in 2 weeks.

Oh man, Ryan.  2nd Jersey Shore reference from you I've seen today.  We've gotta get you a good documentary or something!  I don't think I could make it through 30 seconds of that.

I just cut the cord with cable and miss HGTV.  Their shows weren't awful.  I think they were pretty realistic.

Nicole is pretty cool. She's the only one that takes discarded pieces from houses on some of her projects and creates new detailed work from the old. I like her show quite a lot.

MDL really bothers me--although I did crank call one of the Joshes to see if they were real last year.

The wife loves this crap, so I have to sit through a lot of these. The ridiculous successes of the youngster agents on MDL tell me we are in for high-end trouble real soon...Funny all 3 shows are located in the 3 biggest bubbles in the country--LA, SF and Miami FL. I don't see any MDL........Aspen!!!
