You can't talk to millennials, you have to text them.....

Yes we have one living in our household, and she wants Sanders to win.  16 Years of experience talking.  When asked if she wanted to give half of her paycheck to a friend who wasn't working so they would have some money to spend, she said she wasn't a socialist.

I haven't, although our millennial grandchildren are pretty conservative in their views. Many young people are more liberal in their 20's and get more conservative as time goes on. 

I've seen some of the videos of college students asked poitical questions and I'm really frightened that they can vote.  I also know some who know their stuff and I'm glad they vote!  Depends on the person and if they were raised to think and work for themselves, or to look for the "participation trophy" and got everything handed to them.

Yes.  Talked to one who felt he "worked his ass off" as a waiter working six hour shifts, three days a week.   He thinks if you have over a million dollars, you don't need it.  He does.  After all, he shouldn't have to work so hard.  No surprise, he loves Sanders.  My head was about to explode.

Struck that same chord in me that sellers and buyers who see what we make on the HUD and think we make money for nothing.   

To many are in the entitlement mindset.

Keep in mind that the Austrians voted for Hilter because they thought he was going make their country great again.  Remember the VonTrapp family crossed the Alps to escape Hilter's rule in Sound of Music

I don't get into politics with anyone, it is a futile discussion in my opinion.

Interesting Q. I just chatted with a favorite nephew who is a researcher in SoCal and deals with the Fed a lot. He seems to think, & I agree 100%, that the only thing you can be certain of is that you are being lied to from all directions. Politicians and pundits are playing to your fears, guilt, ego. Truth is seldom told, and even then, it's twisted to suit. Pretty damn wise 35 year old, huh?
I will grant that there are few like him and most are using emotions and not intellect to decide on political issues in that age group.

Thankfully many of the millenials we know have their heads on straight and are not members of the FSA. They're young, ambitious, and have their goals set on what they want to accomplish in life. One of the kids we know is in medical school and invented a hair growth tonic for his bald dad. It's not pretty but it works.

I rarely talk to anyone about politics.  

The M's have been totally brainwashed by the Left.

  The Culture has indoctrinated them via movies, TV, Government (public) schools, and the Universities.   God help them... this country will be down the drain, and they will wonder how it happened.

  (The only M's who are "seeing the light" are those M's whose doors were kicked down last week by Federal Swat Teams, because they are not current on their Student Loan payments).

No doubt!  Even scarier is listening to millenials who talk politics then say they don't vote.

Personally, I like what they say and I like their involvement. I think that their responses are more varied than Trump or Sanders.

I don't talk about politics with anyone, I'm pretty much afraid of hearing what their views  are.

If you talk to them about the candidates, it is a scary situation for us all.

However, if you talk to millennial in an environment where they feel safe and chat bout their VALUES, the opportunity just might prove impressive, if one listens well.

Without fail the old believe the new generation to ALWAYS be incapable and has been recorded so for a thousand years. If the young are incapable, we must understand WE failed them.

Don't try to put all of them in the same category.

I agree with Anthony's take on this, they don't talk, just text. 

I avoid politics in conversation if I can.

Unless you are meeting them face to face, the best you can expect is texting!!

I have many millennial clients and find it easy to relate to them. I've always had a fluid relationship to politics and social values so their views are not outside my comfort zone.

 Sadly, millennial's have nary a clue.

If I ever talk about politics and not happy about what the conversation going, I simply switch the topic. 

My older sister scares me more.

Yes, I've heard a few surprising comments. But then I think, I was that age once. You think differently at that age. I know I did.

I had one of these conversations just this afternoon.  Sanders is a hero to the kid I talked to.

I have read some of their views on Facebook and yes it is scary. I don't talk politics with my clients.

Yes I have. Many of them have also either visited Europe or studied there, or both and were influenced by some of those countries' politics.

I've heard a lot of scary comments.  ....and that was just from the candidates!

I have found that most of the millenials are private about their opinions and speak as little as possible.

Millennials have watched a lot of TV and movies. They have been through a lot. They want improvement, and now. I’m not surprised when they follow any “I’m mad” candidate.

I listen and do not add my commentaries. We are realtors.

Are there liberal Democratic realtors or conversative Republican realtor who only serve those with their own view?
