MLSLISTINGS.com
It is a private owned company for profit... They do what the owners wanted them to do...

We currently have FLEX MLS but are switching over to MATRIX as of March 1st because we are merging with Central Virginia MLS.

We have MRIS, and they're pretty good. Not as good as Houston's but good.

Fortunately we have people at KW who handle this for us for a very good price.

Tammy, we too have Matrix, but know we have something else in the works right now, and they said by end of 1st quarter we will have something new.

Tammy,
I have used Matrix as Denver implemented it, and here in Colorado Springs. I really like it. If someone doesn’t like Matrix I wonder if it is because their MLS has not implemented it well.
I think there are still a number of free Matrix training videos on the web.

Rapatoni (or as we call it "Crapatoni"). As you can tell, I'm not a fan. I'm hoping we'll be switching off of it soon. All web based and it doesn't work half the time.

Matrix - I like it fine. I can't remember the previous vender but it was good too. Both fairly powerful and fast regarding property searches with plenty of search fields. When we've switched - even going back further than the previous vender - there are reports and formats that one system has than the other doesn't. And there may be some difference in search fields and of course if you are an agent that frequently uses one field or report that the new system doesn't have - then there's a let down.

We use Matrix... I don't consider it better or worse than any other system we've had. Our mls seems to make a change every so many years and to me they are all six of one and half dozen of another... it's just always the hassle of getting used to a new system.

I wonder if some day soon, these systems will prove not worth the money and plain old Internet will win out in the end

We have Matrix which is a Core Logic (First American) product. Most MLS systems have been beaten up on prcing to the point that they are not innovative. The backend system Realist is primitive. It is better to use RPR as your backend since it is robust and has exclelent marketing and mobile features.

Matrix.
It seems fine, but tends to force a 'Clear' of criteria when you try to change elements after viewing the results. The you must re-enter and that is a time waster.

we have Flex and it is always changing and not always for the better...overall it is a pretty good program...their mapping system doesnt work for Alaska...but neither does GPS and other mapping systems... follow GPS up here and you might end up in the ocean or the wild woods or a glacier if you dont pay attention

In my province, the local real estate board provides MLS access. In general, the board contracts with an MLS software provider. In my board's situation, the board uses Stratus as the MLS developer and has for a very long time. A couple of years ago, a dramatically newer and improved version of the Stratus MLS was released over time with many newer technology features. The older version had been developed about a decade earlier and was enhanced over time. The board sets the MLS rules and handles all administration responsibilities and also tells Stratus what features to add and/or remove.

Hawaii Information Service, probably not an option in your area but ahead of the curve in our region.

Tammy Lankford - we have PINERGY (we call our MLS, MLSPIN) - and is perhaps one of the best in country - or so do I believe.
Search for PINERGY to get more information - I am not aware of how all this works...

We had Innovia and a couple years ago switched to Flex which is much different. It was quite a change and now they add or change features fairly often so can be a challenge to keep up with.
