An agent with a Bernie for prez button???

Can't have any aspiration to become a "top producer" anytime soon. A top earner could end with a 54.2% Fed tax rate. He wants to remove the cap on self-employment tax at 15.3%--throw in state income tax (12.3% here in CA) and you get an ass whipping to the tune of 81.8%....Sounds like a plan to me....For an idiot.

Only those that don't contribute to our society and don't earn a decent paycheck could possibly support this nutjob...Vermont must be loaded with them.

It is none of their business not is it mine.  So I would not wear a political button.  When we had our commercial real estate firm, I worked with a political fund raiser and found him great office space.  He worked for either party.  His job was to raise $$$.  In real estate our job is to find what they need, no one is paying us to preach, reform, or convert.  A

I had a cable problem and while waiting on the phone with the rep, I asked her: so anyone catch your attention on who to vote for? Her response? We are not allowed to discuss that. Perhaps there is a time and a place?

Some days I do not care about my political opinions!

Politics and religion are not topics discussed with clients or casual acquaintances.

If they are selling Real Estate and wearing a Bernie pin, they both should take a basic economics class and then perhaps visit Cuba, Venezuela or head to North Korea and ask the residents how socialism is working out for them.

Your business is your business and your politics your politics. Keep them totally separate!

I do not discuss politics.

Politics is not part of our real estate discussion....don't know if they do or do not...guessing there are some of both and why risk annoying them for something that does not have anything to do with your level of service ?

I try to keep that information to myself.  I have had clients with different political views than myself in the past.  If I hear their views, it helps me understand them more-& sometimes I practice the opportunity to be quiet.

Some do.  Others don't.

Some do but I steer clear of hot topics like religion or politics in my business relationships.

Who I vote for is not seen or heard by my clients.

I never discuss anything political with clients so I don't know.

I stay away from expressing anything political or religious. I've never had clients push me to find out more about my beliefs. Although I'm working with one now that just might. 

Even if they care what I think, or how I lean, its off limits in my business model. Not part of our "relationship", there are far too many other funner and more educated things for us to discuss.

It isn't my style so they don't have to worry. I do not discuss my poiltics with my clients. If they bring it up I remain quiet.

I probably would not wear a button like that when meeting with a client or prospect.

Ah, yes, you're in WA State. My stepson is in Tacoma and pretty sure he is a Bot. I wouldn't wear that goof's swag, for fear of being tarred and feathered in my town. Mohave County AZ is very conservative and has a huge T-party contingent. Always an adventure!
Oh, your question: My clients are virtually all conservative, so if they saw me wear that button, they'd think it was a joke.

In thirty years I have never discussed politics with clients.  If they bring it up I listen but do not take position one way or the other.

I will never know, because I never discuss politics. I sure wouldn't wear any politcal buttons in public.

I have a few that are entrenched in the Republican party, so I try to stay FAR away from conversations on politics around them.   

Most would care, and I would not wear one of those buttons there or anywhere else.

I think some do, yes, but they would not be "exposed" to it as I would not wear my political views on my sleeve or on my button.

My clients don’t ask and I don’t offer. I don’t make my final decision until right before the election so I can honestly say I’m still listening to all sides.

YES!  I keep my mouth shut on politics with clients UNLESS they're my friends.  My friends already know my views, so that isn't a problem.  Strangers, no.  Don't give anyone a reason to want to NOT work with you.  A Bernie for Prez button though tells me I'd better be ready for a fight on the commission!
