comment on others' posts and they will comment on yours.... you'll establish a relationship with them.... write quality content.... it will all happen in time...

Good posts, commenting on others and be present daily. These will get you noticed.

What do you want to draw attention to yourself for?  To get other members to notice you?  To get more buyers/sellers to find you?

Answer lots of questions and comment on many posts.  Create compelling content.  If you want the attention of members, create posts about things that happen on the job, or a good best practices post.

I agree with everyone here Jillian. Participate by being consistent, use your own voice and join some groups with like-minded people!

When I first joined AR I got to know people by commenting on their posts. I would write about 30 to 40 comments a day when I was a newbee here. Katerina 

I think the key is to draw attention from future clients. I am not buying a home from you.

Blog, comment other folks' blogs and ask questions of the community.   All can draw feedback which you can reciprocate by following the respondents.

Why are you on Active Rain?

This is a serious question. WHY are you on Active Rain?

Example:

1. To build a network of agents across the USA.
2. Find buyers and sellers.
3. Advance personal skills of persuasion via words written.
4. Create authority.
5. A platform to test marketing strategies.
6. Be the wise one who chooses to learn from the vast experience of others.
7. Have lots of questions.

Go and do what you have determined beneficial to you...the attention will always be directed to those who have a purposeful vision because such folks of vision don't waste the time of others and will create indelible impressions.

The secret @jillian, is you do not DRAW attention, attention will be attracted to you, the place where the illumination of vision shines in an arena of colorless twilight.

Do not focus on attention.

Focus on purpose.

The little stuff will take care of itself.

Great question as I am new to Active Rain myself.  I'm appreciating all the helpful answers.  BTW, my middle name is ROQUE ~ close in spelling to your last name.

Engage with others.  Many write posts, and wait for comments.   Interact here in the Rain, and you will become known to many.  

1. Write a post daily.

Define "draw attention"

I've been on here for almost 10 years and I've seen attention draw'ers come and go . . . and stick around for that matter.  

What's your purpose to draw attention?  Are you looking at it for the points, the referrals that may/may not happen?
