I don't think it matters what the gender is, what does matter is the determination and client focus. If an agent has that they will be successful. There does tend to be more females in the business now.

I'm going to go with "Depends".  (Where have I heard that answer before???)  It depends on the skill level.  Some men and women get by on their looks or having been semi-famous, but they can't sell a life raft to a drowning person.

I have noticed over the last several months you sure ask a lot of men vs women questions. You are an instigator, right?

It has nothing to do with sex. I have seen hundreds of fantastic female agent who could sell my socks off. I have also seen hundreds of male agents who are real good.

I lost a listing once because I was male because the client thought all agents should be female cuz they had always worked with women.

Good morning Michael. I have no clue, but do business with many high producers in both genders.

I took the scientific approach and went to my MLS stats.  The top 10 last year in my MLS were 60% female and the men ranked better as listing agents and the ladies far above in the selling category.  So yes.

Yes, they are more well accepted.

Even if I knew the answer (which I don't), this question is to dangerous to answer. 

I have known awesome women realtors, and some fantastic men realtors, who have both won awards and have sold million dollar homes, in my short career in Real Estate.  So I cannot answer that question TeamCHI - Complete Home Inspections, Inc.

It depends.  I imagine the Wall Street Journal list would be pretty 50/50

It's not only in real estate - even in Investment Banking, it's been recognized that women are better salespeople - of course, as a general rule.

I dont think it matters if you are male or female, it matters if you are experienced, well versed, have an ability to communicate , to listen and offer good customer service. 

I don't know.  Are female inspectors more thorough than male inspectors?

Judging from the annual rankings I have seen from several Boards, those that are best prepared and do the right things are on top of the lists!
