I constantly have someone to put me on auto update. They just get your mail and hook you up. So rude...It is ok if they have ''unsubscribe'' option, but I have one out of area lender who is sending me his creations(listings from agents he sponsors) and NO opt out options! I emailed him back many times, spam is still coming.

You are in their address book and they do not have it grouped properly. Of course he may just trying to make you think of him each month or may be really proud of his newsletter and ants to share..

The agent sending the news letter may not know you are also a real estate agent. Unsuscribe, that's what I do..

Your email showed up on a list.
That agent got a list.
A smart agent knows any email with a hart beat on the other side has value.
And, knowing there is an address or two or 200 in a list of 15,000 should never stop the marketer.
Do not un-subscribe because that CONFIRMS there is a heartbeat and this will result in the OPPOSITE of what you want, but not from the same source.
Simply redirect that email and all from that source directly to the trash folder and all is once more good in the universe.

Could be someone looking for you to keep them in mind for referrals. I get a number of news letters from other agents / relocation directors from all over the country. Certain ones I find pretty informative and also a source for some good ideas!

Lyn - I get a ton of emails from other agents, but not that many newsletters, if any. I do get one that is mailed to me.

I find this strange too, and on occasion get similar emails. Not sure why anyone would do that.

Good morning Lyn Sims . Probably got your email address from somewhere.
2,538,789
Good morning Lyn. I add everyone I meet to my list, it is emailed out to 3,000 email addresses. In the last 12 months I get an average of 15 emails after each is sent and can count on 5 new transactions.
I never take it personally when someone opts out.

Lyn Sims - it's not me for sure!
I do not like to send the local newsletters, specially to other agents!

One of the problems with mass mail, very tough to keep an accurate db, somehow they got the idea at one time that you may be moving to MA, or they think you will be a good referral source.

I have a couple of agents in my office who send me the canned franchise monthly newsletter. Why? I doubt I will forget you.

I'm getting a lot of that, too. It gets to be annoying enough that I sure wouldn't send them a referral.

I get that kind of crap a lot. I just do not get it. That is spam, IMHO.

Contact the person you want to be UNSUBSRIBED because you are a realtor.

Yes, a bit dumb. the person should have different lists/tags and they prob. aren't that focused on true databased marketing. They are just trying to get their database #'s up...which is a bit pointless.

It's probably an oops, a glitch or a dumb agent.
There was an agent I'd never heard of who sent me an email at least once a day for over a month. Some days, I'd receive five or six emails that read in part:
"Dear Joan,
Are you interested in knowing what your home is worth? Click here for your personalized blah, blah, blah..."
I let it go on because I was curious to know for how long it would continue. It stopped for a while and started again. I haven't received anything in over a year, so it may have stopped for good.

Probably doesn't have a filter for licensed contacts' info so everyone gets the same newsletter. Happens to me, just from a few agents.

Talked to an agent from a Big Box agency who sends me his newsletter every month, and he basically said he doesn't even know how many of those on his list even got on there. He didn't even know what's in his newsletter, someone writes it for him. Did I "unsubscribe"? Nope, I want to know where they, the brokerage, is coming from.

Lyn Sims , I send out a monthly newsletter to over 2,000 people. I'm sure there are many Realtors that happened to get on the list. I'll give you an example, there's a person on my sellers list that I've been trying to list their home for about three years. Last Friday I wanted to show a particular home and when I called to set up the showing the number of the Realtor was the same as the person I've been trying to get to list with me.
You can unsubscribe or do what I might do, see what another person writes in their newsletter.

Well unless you are interested in hearing from this agent, unsubscribe. It's unwanted, so it's spam
