Which of the first four choices drive your behavior on Active Rain?

For me, disrespect is my biggest motivator.  Recently, an associate tried to sign one of my expireds that I was planning on re-signing in a month or two.  She told the sellers that I didn't market the property well enough, not knowing what I did to market it last year (which was twice what she was going to do for them).  Pissed me off royally, and made me revamp how I communicate my marketing to my sellers, not only verbally, but with a report that they have in their hands.  The property is now under contract in half the time she told them that she could do it.

Never, ever, dis my honor or my hard work.

Inspiration is the best.  

I'd say inspiration. But fear can be a powerful motivator in some cases

#5 always! Inspiration drives me in every area of my life.

I would add PAIN as a compelling force. Pain avoidance definitely motivates people.

I have to have hope in all things that the outcomes I seek will come to me. I try to look for the silver lining in everything and everybody...

I think you need to work on the choices.

Inspiration....  although, FEAR CAN BE a great motivator!!!!

5. Inspiration/Hope

I think Inspiration and Hope tends to make me act.  Mostly, I try to stay away from people that instill the other emotions.  I figure they are unhappy and insecure.  

For me, it is believing in something and living purposefully. My beliefs inspire me and motivate me to act.

Determination.

Probably 5 and then 2, in that order. Inspiration or self-preservation. Not sure that would directly translate to fear . . .

#5 is the force that moves me-the inspiration part not so much "hope".

Inspiration to achieve the dream or overcome fear!

In looking at your choices I realize at one time or another in my life they have all ranked at # 1.  I feel now I am mainly interested in doing my personal best...looking in the mirror and not being disappointed.  Mark

6. Love  I do what I do for love.  I love my family, I love that I like my job so much, I love my friends and most of clients become friends.  I do what I do for love.

Fear used to be a motivator.  Now Inspiration & Hope motivate me.

Maybe love and optimism do it for me.

I'd say at different times, all except #4.  I've never seen that be a motivator.

6. I choose to heal.  This has taken me a very, very long way.

Annette - The most compelling force to make me act is to help others. I enjoy helping others either be able to buy a new home, or to sell a home so they can move on with their lives.
