I remember when the only drones that bothered us were bees.

We need a queen to keep those drones in line.

Roger D. Mucci -- any suggestions?

Donald,

I think Michael Jacobs may have the answer or they will create another layer of government workers, the drone police?  A

Enforcement is going to be a big issue.  I guess we will rely on whistle blowers and let the complaints pile high in some non-enforcing enforcement agency.

For the same reason I do not invest in a drone as part of my marketing campaign. I shoot them myself and do for other realtors.

Drones that stay within the limits of under 400' will not interfere with piloted planes.... we use a drone for our properties and we are just above the tallest trees.....

There are geo-fencing safeguards in place as well as "drone zappers" near sensitive areas. Enforcement safeguards are bound to improve further with time.

I don't think they have close to the resourse they will need.  Maybe if a drone gets sucked into a jet engine as the plane takes off that will change.

When will the over regulation end!!

Why do we let these agencies have so much control over everything we do??

I almost bought one of these little tools but when rumors started that they would be regulated I decided to do without.

Just like the FCC/FTC on the do not call list, they won't take any action.  Registration is the first step to confiscation.

I just saw in some areas they are training eagles to intercept drones and pluck them right out of the sky.  I thought that was kind of cool.

I am sure the enforcement actions will be limited to those operators involved in mishaps, or observed by law enforcement.

Good question, I was surprized to see that figure today. I do not see how they could regulate and police them all.

The FAA is not the only source for limiting and fining those whose misuse this technology. Our county has some regulations that go beyond the FAA's stipulations.

Complaints will probably been handled by local police depts. If you fly near an airport or other restricted area, U.S. Marshalls might get involved. FAA just reduced the no drone zone around Washington DC from 30 miles to 15 miles.

There was an incident recently here where someone was practicing and crashed in a fenced yard; even though they were properly registered the was a lot of hoopla brought about by the property owner and the local police took it away! I have not heard the outcome but will assume just like other incidents it will be a smart phone video of part of the action to try and bring the downfall of the operator.

Make yourself an astonishing day.

They will rely on real estate agents to report (throw under the bus) all violators. Local law enforcement will allow the FAA to 'pile on' the violations.

If there is a gps in the drone, they will be able to monitor where and at what height it is flown, and perhaps fines in the mail. In my area they are banned within 5 miles of the airport which is my who city.
