Will - As big of a sports fan as I am, I would not want to hassle with dealing with over a million people trying to get a glimpse of a few players from a mile away. Just thinking about having to arrive 6 hours early, pay for parking, probably walking a mile, and still not being able to see anything. Then doing it all over again when leaving the parade does not sound very appealing to me.
