Praful, that my time is better spent doing something other than watching the game.  I was reading a book on business. 

One thing about all successful people, athletes included, is that practice and discipline is required to get there. We do not wake up into success ... we achieve it through hard work.

My time would have been better spent reading a good novel.

That is is an obsession for many, and the money spent is obscene.

Children will act like children.

However, every time a reporter asks, "How important was winning to you?" I go nuts. I hope one athelete has the courage to respond "3. Then I'll go back to work tomorrow."

Don't spend 5 million on lame commercials.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

That yes the half time show could be more offensive than ever believed

Never walk out on a photo op.

Don't gamble huge sums of money on one big advertisement.

Experience and class are wonderful assets.

And... make more dip!

Old age and skill will overcome youth and "I deserve it" attitude.  Not taking anything away from Cam but it did humble him.  Hopefully he will mature and come back better next year.  

Good morning Praful. I saw a lesson that I observed many time. They play the game for a reason, no matter what the odds are and on any given Sunday, anyone can win the game.

Praful - You can always learn things from sports and athletics. Lots of members have great answers to this question.

I did not know there were lessons to be learned at the superbowl or I may have turned on the tv and watched.

It is a good thing that you and the others were watching so that I can learn from your notes.

I don't know if it's just because I am in NC and everyone I know is a Panthers fan...but all over FB and Twitter (for my pages) is the news reports showing that there was another player talking bad about Cam in the press conference (you can clearly hear him) and that's why he walked out. There's also the pictures of Cam congratulating Peyton on the 50 yard line and smiling, so I don't think he was discourteous. I think he was upset he lost, which who wouldn't be? But enough about that!

What I learned (or was reminded) is that the media seems to have nothing better to do. Leave the boy alone and go back to concentrating on the things that are actually important. There seems to always have to be a good guy and a bad guy in everything, even if you have to make it up. 

That Payton Manning can win a Super Bowl again.

I didn't learn anything that I'm aware of. I just had fun watching the game. 

I learned that 30 second commercials are through the roof. I would like to make the money that they spend for 30 seconds, during my career.

That while small victories should be celebrated, there is always more work to be done.  Just as quickly do we reach the top, as we get knocked back down to the bottom.  

Also, Von Miller is a force to be reckoned with.

The public loves to jump on the bandwagon of the winner.  No one, or very few, predicted Denver to win before the game.  After the game, everyone seems to have picked them.

Don't interview a great talent like Cam Newton after a horrendous loss and expect anything but what you got.  He's a good man and great player.  Give him his due respect. 

Youthful cockiness is no match for seasoned professionalism.

the underdog has a great opportunity to win if he has his head in the game....
