I had a Trulia account and had a hard time canceling it. They make it easy to sign up but hard to find the right department to stop it.

I thought both Trulia and Zillow set you up on a 6 month subscription that automatically rolls into a month to month contract that you can cancel with 30 day notice

We signed up for a 6 month contract as a company for 22 agents and we noticed they continued to charge our company account after it had expired. We called many times and spoke to about 20 different people including the CEO. I was told on several occasions that it would be reimbursed, but as to today we were overbilled in excess of $20,000. We have contacted an attorney and are looking to see if others have had similar stories.

Nope. It has not happened to me as I don't give Z any of my hard earned money.

You should CANCEL the subscription few days prior to last day of your contract - as contract renews itself at actual price once 6 months are over!
Been there....done that...so I know how it feels!

Learned my lesson 20 years ago with aol, never sign up for a subscription with a credit card.

I don't deal with z and t. Good luck trying to get this straightened out. From what I've heard this will take some time.

Get smart and stop patronizing a non-Professional site that steals your leads and sells them back to you

Other agents seem to think there is a written agreement. There is not. The Trulia account was set up by phone – nothing received and nothing signed. It was canceled in July but I was still obligated thru September. However Zillow – not Trulia - charged for the months of October, November, and December. I'm just issuing a warning to other agents to check their credit cards after canceling your account with Zillow or Trulia since they are now one and the same.

Yes, read your agreement. They will continue to charge you month to month once your subscription is up until you cancel. You can go in and see the dates and let them know when you want to cancel.

Just contact them and they should do a refund. I also pay everything by American Express and it gives me the ability to dispute any charges I didn't authorize so that is a weapon at my disposal for companies that do not notify you.

Rebecca,
Report it to you credit card. They did take this kind of stuff seriously, and as Jeffrey Jones stated you may have read the contract wrong. Check your agreement. A
