Thanks Debbie Gartner! I had no idea it was only 25 words!

Michael, when I reblog I thank the original author and I type 50+ words that add value to the original blog, basically treating it as a regular blog post.

It's only 25 words.  Yes, I thank the original writer.

Did someone already answer, "It's only 25 words"?  LOL

Yes, I recognize the original blogger... even if I don't, there is still the link to their original blog, so they get credit, and I believe some SEO.

Not sure about the 50 words, as I do not re-blog often, but do link the author somewhere either in my intro or in a comment so they know it was re-blogged. 

Michael - I think Debbie Gartner has it right in that it only takes 25 words. As far as myself, yes, I always thank or recognize the original author. That's the whole point of the re-blog, to credit the author for such a well written post that you want to share it with others.

 I think you need at least 25 words. You need 50 characters for a comment.

I believe it is min  25 words for reblog and min 50 for a blog post.

I have seen some pretty short intros but very few thank yous. I on the other hand put my two cents and thank the author but I don't disable the comments because I may have a valuable point to convey.

25 words and yes ... I will thank the re-blogger in the comment section.

No. I do not think there is a minimum number of words.

The blog signature of the other member goes with the reblog.

25 word introduction. Most of the time I try to include thank you to original writer.

I've put in fewer than 50 words.  I thank the original poster, but sometimes I forget to tag.
