Personal preference Gabriel.

But since you asked, I use: iphone, laptop (car) and desktop at the office.

I'm an HP guy in desktops, Toshiba guy in laptops and net books and Apple for phones. For better or worse, those are my defaults.

We have found that the Mac platform is more reliable, requires less updating, and has a greater longevity than the PC options out there.

I think it depends on your preference, but you can be fully mobile with your laptop (I use HP and have been very pleased this last year). But I also use an iPad heavily when out showing property and when traveling. It's tied into my iPhone so as long as I have phone access I have WIFI for my Ipad

I would go with a laptop. You don't need to buy a $3000 apple though. I just bought an 15" HP with 2TB hard drive and 16GB ram for $1000 that is every bit as good as an apple.

Gabriel,
I think you will find a tablet too hard to use. We do a lot of typing. You can get a good laptop for around $300. Go for it.

Gabriel, my recommendation is a laptop.  You NEED a full fledged system for a lot of things and one with power.  Tablets won't cut it.  Plus, a laptop can be taken to an appointment if you feel the need to do a listing presentation with pictures and stuff.

The only tablet that MIGHT suffice, is a Windows Surface because that runs the Windows OS.  It may still be lacking for tasks such as image editing, etc.  Plus, on a personal note I have a 23 inch monitor.  I can't imagine doing work on an 11 inch tablet all day.  My laptop has a 17inch display and that feels small some days.

As to brand, I'm a PC guy so I'm going to recommend Dell, Toshiba, HP.  I'd avoid Lenovo simply because I don't trust those that make them.  Apple systems run the same chips as PCs and are more expensive.  Save the money, go with Windows.

On a limited budget, I would select a laptop. The choice is yours, but it would be beneficial to select a brand you with which you do not need to have a learning curve. I would avoid tablets unless you can afford to purchase both a laptop and tablet.
