I doubt MLS would do anything about it, but it could be considered a violtation of Truth in Adverising, and its unethical and unprofessional.

Chris - Not sure it is a violation of the MLS, but I would certainly call the agent, and depending on what they said, call their broker as well. It is just unprofessional, and puts a bad light on our profession.

Not a violation, there is no "punishable" MLS attendance requirement (one can get sick or be involved in a accident at anytime), except for the expectations of the public/client. Best to have contingency plans like an on call agent to serve or simply post a notice on the door and/or Internet.

 

This agent should change her starting time to 1 p.m.

In what capacity are you working with this agent? That's just unacceptable and I wouldn't have anything to do with this agent. If you have a broker in common, I would certainly bring that up. Gives the brokerage a bad name.
