Certainly is alluring to find a community that understands what you are talking about, knows what you are going trough, experiences the same environment, and can say with real conviction, "Hang in there."

We who work this profession, do suffer from isolation and loneliness in the midst of the crowd. What a great refuge AR has proven to be.

ActiveRain is not in the same league with Facebook but it can be addictive.

I certainly think so.  Even when I say I am not going to spend time in the Rain today ... because I have other things I need to get done ... I still do.  Addictive ... yes.

I use to be addicted to AR but after a couple of years that wore off.  I still work FB and it works for me.

I concur. Facebook is more lifestyle unless you are selling breathtaking Wall Street journal homes the public doesn't have much interest in open houses and new listings.  

it's very addictive..... facebook is not as active as ActiveRain.... this is not only social, it's a learning experiencing.....

Peter Mohylsky I opened up another Facebook account the other day only to learn they locked out my account. They want me to verify my information with a photo ID, birth certificate, passport, etc. I've also blocked their emails they keep sending as spam. Good bye Facebook.
