A landing page is simply a website page containing a 'Call to Action.'

Ones presence on a landing page reflects interest.

But, much has changed in the past year.

The exchange of contact information is not the defining criteria, but is a measure of motivation. 

The web page owner has many options regarding how to respond. Well thought out inbound marketing strategies REMOVE the need for the visitor to provide their contact info. Therefore, the defining measure of what is a landing page must be reliant upon the intent of the owner. "Got your IP" is all that is required for a successful landing page.

A web page where you exchange your email for information.

or a web page where you give permission for someon else to fill your inbox.

The page you land on when you click on a URL.

The page a visitor arives to my site on is the landing page.

A Landing Page is the page that opens when you click on a URL.

A place for folks to seek info, and for us to seek their contact info.

It is a place where they can get some information and also sign up for additional info.

I'm here because I wanted to see how others were defining this question.

Good morning Praful. Those that have gotten to my landing page are most likely there because of something they ready or someone gave them my name, so that usually means they want to check me out.
