I believe GOD is "All Knowing". HE has seen the begining and the end for everyone. BUT I believe we choose our own paths(make our own decisions). We are not robots and have been given "free will" to make both good & bad choices !

I believe we create our own destiny. Just for thought, if we look at the drug  addict homeless person. Would a God create that or was that destiny created by the individual?

You are what you think. You can not change your outside world but you can change yourself. 

I believe in choices and the consequences of same.

I believe that God planned all our destinys but left it up to us to control it by doing the right thing. 

There may be a predetermined destiny for us, but we can't have our cruise control set or we won't be guaranteed to reach it, so we do have choices to make, a responsibility and involvement in our destiny. There's many slip, twixt the cup and the lip.

I believe our destiny has already been written by God.  Once I came to that realization all has been going well.  

I don't know I was born into a very poor family and adopted overseas. South Korean society is not structured where you can come from nothing and build like in US

Michael - I believe it is a little of both. I have seen more people end up successful by being in the right place at the right time, or simply by mistake, or just being truly lucky. Other people have worked very hard, and done all the right things to get where they are, yet are still struggling and can't get a break. Who is really to say whether that is all due to destiny, or because some people are truly just made the right decision.

I believe that God has a plan for all of us.  I also believe we have free will and stray from God's plan for us.  I believe the plan is fulfilled when we rely on God to guide our decisions. 

I believe that the three sisters Clotho, Lahkesis, and Atropos set our fate in motion, however we have free will and are not forced into a given design.  It is up to us to make the choices to realize that fate.

If what you say is true, why do we even exist?  Are we pawns in an elaborate game that we don't know the rules to?

I have no clue, but as far as I can tell, I'm the master of my own fate.

The beauty of God is that we were given free will much in the manner of a Democracy.  We have the ability to make choices, good or bad, and suffer the benefits or consequences.  People wonder why people are murdered or starving, it's part of the free will.  God judges all of us based upon our lives.  Someone starving in Africa has the same opportunity to make it to heaven as someone born with a silver spool in their mouth.

God intervenes whenever it is time to do so.

Since we don't know Gods plan for us, we have to work to discover it.  We just can't sit in place and  wait for it to be revealed.

Think of a fish bowl or tank. Freedom of movement within gives the impression of free choice and destination, but the fish are still in a tank. The tank-maker does all the cause & effect making it all go and do what HE wants

God planned a life for us ... We create our own destiny.  Every choice we make we create ... every thought we have ... we create. God gives us the freedom to live the life we choose.

Both are correct, God does want you to by happy and successful and already knows how you will proceed, it is up to us to decide what this role will be, will we take responsibility for our actions and live a life of achievement or live a life of quiet desperation allowing others to determine our fate while complaining about our lot in life.

I think one creates their own destiny most often by the choices they make, of course some things are out of our control though
