Nobody wants to drive with me. I don't want to drive with me.

Always want the decision maker with me, lots to talk about between houses such as areas, school districts, etc, and bonding. If its a family with kids, they can drive but i have the husband and wife take turns driving with me.

I usually prefer to drive the buyer in my car.  Occasionally they follow me, but that is not my preference.  It is more relaxing for me to discuss their likes and dislikes after viewing each home.

Whatever works.  If they have kids with them, they drive their own car.

It really varies. Some clients want to drive their own car. If it's tough to get there, they might climb into mine. Often we just meet there. No hard and fast rule. Sometimes I preview, like today, and no one else shows up.

I meet them then they can follow. Once I had buyers ride with me only because they were friends of a friend. I like riding with them and talking about their likes, dislikes and different areas but I'm more comfortable just meeting.

No I don't put buyers in my car - I have them follow me -

I have done it all three ways, but if I get any bad feelings in my gut, I don't get into their car.

I do all of the above depending on the buyer. Most buyers however like riding in their own cars and following me.

They meet me or follow me to the location.  No riding allowed.  It is an accepted method around here.

I never let them drive, that will never happen. Most buyers drive their own car, unless they are relocation client.

Whether I put a buyer in my car depends on the situation. Sometimes I have them in my car and others following me at the same time. I can't remember the last time I was in a buyer's car, however. If they are relocation clients, they mostly ride with me so we can talk about their move, the city, neighborhoods, etc.

I have always preferred to have prospects in my car unless they have children with them.

 I have seen agents do it both ways. Sometimes the agents ride in their car.

Meet at the houses of mutual interest.

Flexible, but mainly meet at the properties in separte vehicles.

Only once have I ridden with the buyers.  They had a great big 4 wheel drive vehicle on a snowy day.  99.9% of the time, the buyers follow me in their vehicle.  They seem to like having alone time to talk about what they've seen.

No and No. I let the buyers follow me to listings. To much liability now a days. 

I'd say 90% of the time they follow me. I find that it helps them discuss without pressure what they really thought of the house and by the next home we either can let it go or keep it. 

I never do any of the above. We all take our own separate vehicles, it's too much of a liability. Additionally, safety is my biggest concern. You never know who you are truly getting in the vehicle with and their driving habits or standards. Last thing I want is to have to sue someone or worse, get sued, when I could have avoided the situation in the first place. I also like them to feel the pain of having to drive from showing to showing, they seem to appreciate my hard work even more.

I do not even remember when I was driving a buyer in my car. Only if the parking is an issue, otherwise, they follow me.

I have let buyers show me around. I will get in their car. But mainly these days, I end up meeting buyers and we are in our own cars. I like that. Although I will take buyers around, too. I kind of enjoy playing tour guide.

Generally we take our own vehicles, unless it is a real backcountry property and then I will ride on one of their atv's.

I think mine is answer 53 and counting. I’m with Joan Dickie, I want the buyers to follow me so:

# 1 They have time to talk plainly without me overhearing.

# 2 I have time to return calls to other clients, lenders, title companies, etc.

Unless they want to drive by themselves I prefer they ride with me.

Unless the buyer does not have a car, I will let him/her ride with me. 

Most of the time I let them take their own vehicle.  It just depends on the buyer and the situation.  I usually don't ever ride with them.  

Still put them in my car that I can talk to them and get closer to what they are thinking.

I rarely will go into the buyers car, but I do like them coming with me in my car.

I drive, if possible.  I know where we are going and can spend time talking to my buyers while we are looking at homes. Good for relationship building!

It is easier to sell someone when they are in your car, but I wouldn't put a stranger in my car unless I had a second person.  If they have kids, pets, child seats... they follow in their car.  I have to know and trust them before getting in their car (and to some extent with my car too).

Depends on the situation!  1-3 houses they follow.  More than that I usually will drive unless there is not a starting and ending point that makes sense.

It depends.  Typically, the first time they are seeing properties with me or they are relocating and only in the area for a limited time.

I take buyers in my car alot.  If they prefer to drive, then that is their right.  I never get into their car.  Besides being a safety issue, I like to be in control, since I am the one showing the houses.

I want them in my car.  I want to know what they have to say.  I want to ask question and hear their answers.

I prefer to have the buyers in my car, so I know where their preferences are with the homes shown.   If they have kids and car seats, they may follow, and have gotten into their car a few times.

well fred, i have a habit of passing gas a lot.... so i like to break wind in my own car..no one wants to ride with me lol.... my opinion is take your own ride...but there are circumstances where not possible or needed..

I would prefer they ride with me -- it's more efficient than following. Otherwise, they can follow. I will NEVER get in a buyer's car and let them drive. A local couple did that and the buyer freaked out and kicked them out of the car at an intersection. Besides that, I'm a terrible passenger. :D

I prefer to meet buyers at a home however if they are from out of a town, a relocation buyer or even an older person or couple who doesnt drive i will drive them.

Seems like more and more drivers are preferring to drive their own cars. Yesterday I showed a buyer with 2 kids a few townhouses. They drove. I don't keep car seats in my car. Also, my car insurance would need to be upgraded to cover carrying passengers on a regular basis for business related driving. It can also depend on location of property buyers want to see and where they live. I actually had to tell a buyer I couldn't help him because he lived 15 minutes S of me. The property he wanted to see was 5 minutes from his house. Yet he wanted me to meet him at our office in McLean which is over 1 hour East. Then take him back to show him a house he could have walked to.

These days everyone is on their own. Unless it is a buyer on the beach with no car and they want me to take them around.

I have had a major shift take place during the years. Now it is rare for a consumer to be in my car.

my agents have them take their own car..... unless it's a transferee and then they drive them around.... however, it rarely happens, since we are listing agents....

The buyers I work with now are looking in the communities I market..always meet them at the listing..never see more than a few at a time.
