We have on AR several VA based in the US. type in "virtue assistant".
The overseas are way lower. AR help is in PI. Most of the big teams use them also they are assigned a US VOIP with a US local phone #.... They do cold calls too.

I don't use a personal assistant for overall work. I do task management with multiples. My maximum cost is $10 per hour. Most of my work is being done in Romania.

I checked into a few of these services recently, and am suspecting that it may be a lot less hassle and about the same money to hire a local person. But I am still researching it and may adjust my thoughts on this.

Michele,
I tried to work with one but she wasn’t really ready to do the work. If they are good I would think they want at least $25 to $35 an hour.

We did - and they were always licensed - and paid a flat fee when the transaction closed (this was permissible because they were licensed).

The last one charged $25 an hour and her work was worth maybe $6 an hour.

Good morning Michelle. I have two assistants, both work from my office.

VAs can be hired to do almost any task that doesn't require a license. Accounting, phone calls, filtering and responding to emails, the list is long.

I'm considering one. I have learned a lot about virtual assistants from this guy @ lessdoing.com. I took one of his classes on CreativeLive and it was quite interesting. He has some great tips on this topic.

I used to have a really good one for $15 an hour but she was really smart and told me what we should do, not the other way around. She had twins and had to quit.

Michele, good question. We don't use a virtual assistant in our office. We use local person to assist with data base construction, advertising and follow up letters.
