I spend about $300 a month on regular large postcard mailouts, $265 a month on a local magazine ad, and whatever for my web site.  None of this stuff seems to work as well as it used to.  I don't know what has taken their place, if anything.

Right now we're spending about $10-$15 a month on directly marketing ourselves.  The project starts in a week, so no ROI possible yet.  One deal from it will give a positive ROI though.

 

Other than that, door knocking around new and sold listings and some online advertising of listings ($20 or so per campaign).  No ROI on those yet, but the cost is nominal (ink & paper) so one deal will pay for a couple decades of advertising.  :)

I spend about 7% of income and some on PPC campaigns with a good return and the rest on direct mail that also has a good return for me.  I also do a little print for branding purposes only, not meant to get direct leads.  Just keeping my brand in front of people.  Sponsorships, maps etc kind of thing.
