I totally agree. I have a password keeper on my computers to help with that issue.

If you really want to find your past IP addresses, here's your answer. See the third answer.

However, passwords are not related to IP addresses at all, unless you're logging into a website using very unconventional password storage techniques. For example, when you click "remember me" on a login screen, the website that you are logging into creates a cookie that is stored in your browser's files. The next time you visit that website and it checks to see if you have any sort of credentials, it will find the cookie and automatically log you in. I've never seen the process require an IP address, although some websites like Facebook may question you if you're logging in from a different geographical location.

Whether you're traveling to work or traveling between countries, the cookies stored on your computer will always be there unless you delete them. Some websites like RPR have an expiration date on their cookies so you have to re-enter your login information again after a couple of weeks, but they are the exception, not the rule. If you're regularly having to log back into websites you visit as you travel, you should check your cookie settings and make sure that:

  1. You have cookies enabled, and
  2. Your browser's cache still has room for more cookies.

If both of these are good then you shouldn't have any more problems storing passwords. Good luck!

Richard, you may need to adjust your browser settings and there are also third party programs that will remember every one of your passwords and enter the info for you each time.

That's odd.  I thought mine did keep them.  Maybe it's your settings.  I use my laptop all over the country and haven't had an issue w/ this.  I don't think I've had an issue w/ it when I went to Mexico either, but will test it out in Jan when I'm there.

There are ways to save passwords going from one area to another.

Some are free some cost and then there is an address book to put the passwords in alphabetically!
