Lise, this is very good question.

I'm a planner, so I stock up for parties, road trips, etc. But I tend to shop every couple days for veggies & fruit, I like it fresh. I stock up on my frozen back up meals, but tend to cook fresh meats, fish & veggies. My bride is an over shopper, I live in constant fear of the mall.

I stockpile, I do compare prices, its in my DNA.

Under I would guess. There is always just enough. Since the household consists of 2 people those Costco/Sams clubs memberships are not needed. And for stock piling, I think it creates wastefulness and more spending.

Good morning Lise. In Most of the time, I would be an under shopper, but for certain products, would be a over shopper. Paper products come to mind.

Lise - It depends on what I am purchasing. Some things I will buy an excess of, while other things, I will buy just enough for what I need.

it depends.  I buy some items in bulk, but only if they truly keep well. 

with the staples, i way overstock. and we have the closet/storage for it...

On certain items I over stock just so I don't keep going back to the store on other things that last longer I just buy what is needed.

I buy what I need and get out quick.

Ugh! It seems when I get baking or cooking there is always that one ingredient missing so UNDER!

I buy just enough except in the winter. 

I generally buy the right amount...but when I'm busy, I sometimes forget to buy more.  I need to remember to use Peapod more often.

 Good Friday morning Lise. Typically I am an under shopper unless I go to Costco.

I tend to buy back up non-perishables.  As far as other stuff, I probably go to a shopping mall twice a year.  In that respect, I under shop. 

I only buy what I need.

I guess I am an over shopper.  i grew up on a ranch far from town and it made more sense to stock up and I still do it.

I mainly get what I need. I downsized a couple of years ago, and that also changed my shopping habits. I'm very good about only buying what I need, but given a good sale, I might get carried away. 

I buy only what I need as I am not a stockpiler.

I'm a bargain shopper so I'll stockpile items if it's a good enough deal.

As a general rule I’m an under shopper. However, we keep a “2 month” supply of paper products, etc. This time of year I stock up on toiletries, etc. so I won’t have to go to the store until January.

Lise Howe Mostly an under shopper except when it comes to food. Have to keep the pantry full.

I try my best to not be any kind of shopper.

I am an overshopper when it comes to groceries. I like to stockpile to an extent :)  I store extras that arent food related (paper products) in the garage. We are a family of 5, I like to have an extra 2 weeks to a month worth of food in the house so I utilize an extra freezer in the garage also. I am definitely not an extreme shopper though. I don't deal well with clutter.

I will admit that there have been times that I have over shopped...
