I am asked this question at least once a week. "When does a runner become a runner?"

1 mile, 5K, 5 Miles, 10K, half, full, Ragnar, ultra, or when they just can't stop?

Of course I have an answer, but it's the wrong answer.

The right answer is "When you know why you are REALLY running."

Why are you here Blanca?

When your answer does not include suggestions of 'Trying it out' you are no longer a newbie.

I have seen some new members rise to the top very fast. By the top I mean...out there and someone that active members know and look forward to reading. It's not a matter of points. Get active, stay active and comment, comment, comment.

I am not aware of any set levels.  Just participate and get known, then you won't be a newbie.  :)

That's all up to the individual.  Personally, it takes me years to feel like I am seasoned at anything.  I've seen others that feel seasoned from day one.  Knowledge is king.

There are no predefined rules or definitions on ActiveRain regarding how long anyone is a newbie.

It doesn't take long to to learn the system.  Once you are comfortable with blogging, commenting and folowing others, then I would say you are no longer a newbie.  We all have questions tha others answer and we've been here for years.  We're all family, not newbies.

I have heard some people still refer to themselves as Newbies with 300,000 points. I guess it depends if you feel grounded or not.

I think it's something for the person to decide. I don't feel like a newbie anymore but when I started being active it took me about 6 months before I felt familiar with this platform and the people. That's when I stopped being a newbie at least in my own mind.

I was told when I first started 100,000 points but I'm sure it is different for everyone

Being a newbie only means you are new to us, not new to Real Estate, and I have never thought of that before.  I don't know the answer!

I'd say it's when you "have it mostly figured out" and a complete profile with phone numbers and a website and a few dozen blog posts.

Blanca I don't think it's a matter of points or time - it's more about newbies digging in and getting involved and partipating and having fun on their journey.
