For me I'd be most concerned about lifestyle items (gym, volunteer opportunities, single life, etc.).  If I was moving for work too, I'd be concerned about traffic patterns, commute times, etc.

I'd also want to know about the typical weather patterns and area disaster concerns (earthquakes, fires, floods, hurricanes...), of course I'm odd that way being a disaster prepardness guy.

The first and most important to me is safety.  I need to be able to walk outside anytime, day or night, without fear.  It is even more important that my wife will be safe when I'm away from home.  Living in fear is not an option.
