A person can reach out to me at any hour because that's what VoiceMail was created for. I'm known for not taking calls whenever I am with a client and other clients respect it. If I don't answer it is because I'm not available; it really is as simple as that.

I have a lot of customers in different time zones. They can call whenever but I only return calls from 8-7pm.

Our office hours are 7am-3pm Phoenix time, closed weekends and holidays. That said, we check email frequently and often. All inbound calls that are not answered "live" go to voicemail, and the voicemail is emailed to both of us. Depending on the nature of the call will determine when we return the call - immediately or next business day. No complaints.

I 'officially' open my office for intake at 8 am, but clients know they can reach me on my cell much earlier and 'if I answer my phone or a text, I'm up and at em, or will get with you as soon as I am.' I shut my office down at 4pm, and clients know that they can reach me on my cell 'a LITTLE' later and after 6pm I am so dead tired I am of no use to anyone. The next AM first thing, they will get their response. This is a great business because we CAN control our time. I also have a saying 'nothing closes that was initiated after 7pm or on a Sunday'. YMMV, but in my world, serious people observe business hours.

I think we should set parameters but make exceptions when it is important to do so.

There are many ways to contact me, many which operate 24/7 for 365 days of the year, unless it is a leap year when those contact methods operate 366 days of the year. Some 24/7 methods include voicemail, answering service, email, text messaging, other messaging services and more.

I try to be available to my Clients all the time. So far there have been no problems. If im not available at the time of the call my voice mail will pick the call up and I will return the call when I can.

If it's emailed it doesn't matter. I'll make arrangements for most times as needed. It would get ridiculous if they wanted me to do something between 1AM - 6AM though.

I respond anytime, anywhere, and at any time. Though there may be someone that calls late or early, but chances are they know I'm up which I am. Personally this notion that we shall only take calls during 9-5 like a store, is liitle odd to me. This is the same problem I have with other agents that can't get back with you on one of their listings in a timely fashion. My opinion is if they don't wnt to be bothered like most agents today, to be honest, they should go work at a clothing store or gift shop in the mall.

I usually go over this with new buyers and sellers, but there is always exceptions to this. Turn my phone on at 8 am, off between 8:30 and 9:00, and 10-7 on Sundays.

It depends on the urgency. My phone is on all the time with the exception as to when it is being charged. I have access to all the phone calls, messages and texts and they do come in all the time. It is up to me to determine what, who and when I should respond. If it is a matter that I know it needs my immediate attention, I am open to the times. A couple of years back, my nurse client and I only interacted during wee hours of the day...2am. My schedule was flexible and hers was not.

I can receive a contact at any time, but unless there are extenuating circumstances I usually don't respond outside the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Winston,
I try to set that expectation upfront and as we go along. Email is ok anytime, text as well. They just may not get answered until a reasonable hour. Phone calls, I prefer 8am to 8pm.

I usually have my phone on between 8 AM and 8 PM. I've made exceptions but that is what I strive for!

Winston my window actually varies. Client in a transaction or offer receives any time. So stressful for them at during those times and I want them to feel confident they are in good hands. Clients in general maybe up to 9ish depending on my night. Prospects never past 7, with a return call FIRST thing next morning. Mark

I work from 7am until 9pm. I have written offers at 11pm plus. lol. I let people know they can email me they may or may not get response until the morning.

If it is for a transaction in negotiation; at any time. My cell phone 'sleeps' with me
