....Experience Isn't Expensive.... It's Priceless!

If convicted of the charge they should be dealt with harshly, domestic violence should not be tolerated.

Women should absolutely NOT be beaten for any reason.  That being said, though, some women falsely acuse men of hitting them... out of revenge.  If there is undeniable evidence, the man should be put into a mandatory anger management program and a lifetime restraining order against the women they beat.   This should not be the womans choice because they are often bullied into dropping charges... only to be beaten again.   To answer your question... Probably.  Football is an aggressive sport and not conducive to overcoming an anger problem or aggressive personality.

No. Banning the folks from the sport is not necessary.

However, each and every citizen who allows one single dime to go to those franchise who pay these reprobate people should never has a restful night.

When society turns a blind eye to such behavior, and we do so by giving them money, the red flag of a sick society is waving boldly.

Those who hire these reprobate people must understand it is financial suicide.

Does the blood lust of our society usurp the justice and values proclaimed by it's citizens/

Michael Vick...still playing ball.

Jamis Winston....still playing ball.

Ray Rice should never ever be heard from again.

The reality is, a blood lust society will reward all of these with huge mansions and near idol worship and elevate them to authorities in global and social issues. Now that is crazy.

Is there a time and place for physical justice. Yes, But not in the context of the question presented.

I think that, like members of any profession (including ours), football players should be banned for any type of really bad behavior.

Yes,  they are role models for young children.  They are banned in college for not getting  high enough GPA.  Domestic Violence is a whole lot worse!

No one should be beaten.  My question is since when has a football player become the moral compass of our country?

Good morning Michael. The current penalties are not going to stop this behavior.

Michael - Well, I believe being charged and convicted are two completely different things. I also believe domestic violence should be handled in a court of law, and not by the NFL, just like any other person who is charged with domestic violence. Then, at that point, I would leave it up to whatever the corporate policy is at that person's workplace, as to whether that person should lose their job or not.

Furthermore, I want everyone to know and understand that there is absolutely no place for any domestic violence in our society.

I feel that sports teams should lead investigations to see if their athletes are involved with domestic violence and if there is any clear cut evidence, they should be banned from any sport  --- not just football.

I don't think anyone should be punished for being charged with a crime.  Now get convicted and that's a different story.

You are Innocent until proven guilty. The police are often overzealous. I agree with you Michael.
