I don't track such metrics. I will wait longer if it is important to me.
I am always amused when the recording says that they are having a higher than expected volume so the wait will be longer. This, of course, always happens on a day when there is no reason to expect a higher than normal volume, at least from a consumer viewpoint, and makes the consumer wonder why they cannot plan for such volume, especially if they have been around for many years and should have such metrics readily available.

I think over 40 minuets, customer service has gone away for some industries. Choices are limited though so sometimes we don't have an option to switch providers like people can switch real estate agents.
