Yes we have on some occasions as we do work with a lot of friends! And we love to help them, when needed and when we have the time.

Yes, usually they were elderly and sometimes one of the spouses had died or had to go into assisted living.

I just did this about two months ago. The sellers have moved out of the area and one of them had MS. He is in a wheel chair. The neighbor was doing most of the work, but I got organizations in the house to take away stuff.

The category on Craigslist called Free Stuff is useful.  I've posted items for sellers, handled inquiries and arranged for pickup.

Yes,  sometimes you do whatever you have to for your clients.

I have helped clients move in, and out.  I do so only if they seem to be having problems.  In that case I am happy to help.  Mark

There's an app for that!  It's called Donation Nation.  They have helped several clients clear out what they are not moving.  I think they are becoming pretty much national, and they work with national and local charities to recycle what the client wants to give away or throw away.

I have offered to pay for services to help them, rarely offer my own time, but absolutely do what it takes to make things happen

Debbie, we do what it takes when people need extra help to help move things along and close the sale.  Old Red comes in handy as we have used it serveral times to help move debris left behind or help a client move when in desperate need.

In this case seller's idea of broom clean meant two full pick up loads for OLD RED  to the dump and a pick up load of cardboard and plastic to the recycle center.

One of the things I tell my clients up front is that I don’t help move. If it were a client who couldn’t do it and had no family, I would organize a group to help.

Debbie Reynolds I've helped a few friends, and with a few items for others as needed. I would certainly help if needed, but I do not look to become a mover or cleaner unless their other options have fallen through. Need to be more careful at age 60...
