I have struggled with this for years. What is appropriate and what has lasting impact? I tried the engraved knives, but they seem very expensive for the pereived value the receiver gets. I would never guess they cost $200 if someone gave them to me.

In my first 3 months in business sold a very large home, and picked up my clients in a limo, went to a nice steakhouse for dinner, then by their new home. Was a celebration for me too, never had received that large of a check!
