I have Emergen-C on hand plus always go and get a smothered green chile burrito with really hot chile.  This usually does the trick.  Hope you feel better soon! 

Dayquil.

This year has been a tough one.

NO.  I've gotten maybe 3 colds in the last decade or more.  Diet, exercise and LOTS of vitamin C!!  Oh did I mention I worked covering compliance issues in three hospitals for the last five years.  Two of them major trauma centers.  Had no cold or flu until this year (oddly enough right before I retired).  Even made regular visits to the ER to conduct audits.  Only got the flu this year because I had major surgery and was recovering during flu season.  Months of anti-biotics, limited supplementation and no exercise really did me in.

It is  rare when I get a cold, but when I do dayquil does it for me.

I had a cold this week and took Alka-Seltzer Cold Tablets, and I'm back to normal within 3 days.

Airbourne works very well for me. I will take when I feel the first symptoms and then again later in the day. When I do manage to get a full out cold, then I like Alka Seltzer Cold Plus. This is my go to cold treatment.

I get allergies/head colds when the seasons change, but never get truly sick.  Unfortunately, I can't tolerate allergies so my only feel-better trick is as many pharmaceuticals as it takes.

Just go through it with a shot of dayquil is what I do. Its not fun, but work needs to get done, if I can stay home I just work on the computer all day.

Simple home remedies, nyquil, vicks etc works for me.

I haven't had a cold in over 10 years....and I've never had the flu nor taken a flu shot.... viruses stay away from Armenians....

I may get a head cold but not often.

We've already taken our flu shots preparing for flying across country.  We normally stay pretty darn healthy.  

Keep working and the harder you work (physically) the faster you will recover. For some reason no one cares to talk of their ailments around me anymore.

When the impression of affliction visits me I take care to not be a distributor, but go about my business looking a primed as possible. Yes, I do keep running. Sometimes it is not so easy.

Drink lots of fluids - eat chicken soup

I have had a cold for more than a week. I used to not get colds when I was younger but now I get more than one cold a year.

Anything that gets rid of the congestion is where I go. A little steam therapy loosens me up the best and without drugs. I can't remember my last cold or even a headache for that matter.   

Knock Knock Knock.  That is the sound of me knocking on wood.  I have not in the last 2 years.  I'm now very conscious of washing my hands more often than in the past.

Right now Larry and I can't shake this cold we have, and have been using zicam and cold-eeze

Good q.  Zinc seems to help a bit and airborne and lots of Vit C/OJ.  Hope you can hold out 1 more day.

Oh and sometimes ginger ale helps a bit...I think it's the ginger.
