So many of my systems are still windows based and don't work well on a MAC, I'm not switching as yet. Enough frustrations in day to day management of all of these systems without adding to it.

Once you go Mac you'll never look back! We're totally Mac and with NO regrets! Worth every cent and learning curve.

Going to all Apple years ago from PC made my life a lot easier and my pocket book fatter. No viruses, no constant need of technicians, one and ones and the Genius bar for help, and a longer life cycle. Yes you can get PCs cheaper but iun the long run quality wins. Just on maintenance and technicians I saved a bundle.

I tried Mac at one time. Just never got into it but I know people who swear by them. For me give me PC and I'm happy

If you plan to be a professional student or a librarian go with the mac.

Marco,
It really depends on your preferences. One of the reasons we switched to all Apple is the impeccable service and care we have experienced. I love their stores and the attitude of their people. Unlike other stores, they really want to be there. Every device is synched, and we love the look and feel of everything they do...It fits with our core values. A

We use both and seem to be edging more towars Mac due to the way MS has clearly for profit decided to force users to buy new operating systems by just up and deciding that they will no longer support older systems.

I will look for the answers here. I have always used a PC.

I use both, desktop PC and MacBook pro laptop. Recently upgraded to iPad Air, so don't carry my laptop as much anymore. Love all the RE apps for the iPad. I keep pretty much everything in the cloud, so easy to switch back n forth from all 3 devices.
Mac Pros - faster for some tasks, great for graphics and marketing materials. I like how you can manipulate PDF files without having to buy an Adobe Write product or the updates etc. Making changes to contracts, moving pages around, etc is MUCH easier in Preview
Mac Cons - not all the shortcut keys I've been using for years (especially excel formulas) work, I've never bothered to learn the Mac shortcuts, which is an option, just use my PC for spreadsheets. When I was working with Infusionsoft every day the Mac would stutter, not as important now, but some programs were just built for PCs

Cons to Mac: More expensive up front.
Pros to Mac: Last several times as long as PC without loosing speed, new Operating Systems updates are free, it works, video/photo editing/sharing etc is awesome on the included apps.
I used to say I'll never by a mac, switched in 2007 and can never use a PC again, it is more expensive upfront but you will save money in the long run.

I hear nothing but good things about the MAC. The learning curve is the only complaint. The PC...you hit the ground running and works just fine. Mac costs more...PC less...that's all I know...

I switched to a MacBook Pro from a PC-based Dell about two years ago,a nd have been quite happy with my switch.
Not only is the actual computer and keyboard better made (a metal instead of plastic body, and a full-sized keyboard), but the software for Apple is geared more towards a cleaner presentation for us real estate agents. I certainly have not learned a lot about it, but I have enjoyed the transition.
It certainly was a transition at first, but I am happy with my final decision, and wish you well.

Marco Giancola I'd say, it's what you are comfortable with. Being techie, I should like MAC - however, that's not true! I am very comfortable with WINDOWS environment for many reasons - specially for the software that I can download for many tasks I need in my business are usually readily available in Windows at fraction of a cost.
And what you use as your smartphone should not be the reason for your switch to another platform.
