Sometimes I feel I need to take out a second mortgage on my home to finance the amount of candy I buy and hand out on Halloween in my neighborhood!

absolutely - and with any luck - I won't have any left over for me! 

Halloween is a Saturday so we're expecting record breaking crowds :) I always give out candy but I never buy it until the last minute.

Captain Wayne - Of course we will, each and every year. We usually order pizza and sit out in our driveway to hand out the snacks.

No.  In my city 99% of the kids go to the malls, churches or schools for the "safe" trick-or-treating events.  My parents are on the north side of town, they've seen MAYBE 5 kids a year come through and there are a good amount of kids living in that area.  I'm more of the central part of the city and I saw two groups of 6 kids the last couple of years.  I end up eating the candy myself, so I stopped buying it.

I usually go to the gym, eat dinner and come home to watch a movie as it gets dark.  I've NEVER had a kid come to my door in the five years I've lived at this address.

Sad really.  That was the best part was going door-to-door.

North Idaho a bit too far stretched from one house to the other for productive, or even safe, trick or treating.  Our main office has decorating contests and invites families/kids in to trick or treat in a safe environment.  Pretty cool actually.  

Yes at my office, it's an annual tradition. Very well received by the community. 

We have a lot of visitors. I need to find gluten free and dairy free treats to please them all. :)

No, in 15 years I have never had any little visitors.  I also see more schools have in house parties and a fading of this tradition.

I live in a condo -- I've never seen a trick-or-treater.  

Probably not.  Since we moved in, back in 2007, we have had (Zero) Trick-or-treaters.  We are one of only 2 homes on a busy street, with no sidewalks, outside the city.

Always, but I do it a bit differently.

I'm always in St Maarten Halloween week. I check with the parents first, and then do a cupcake delivery  to each kid w/ cupcakes from a VERY good local bakery.

Our Church will have a big event for the entire community.  Games, prices, drawings, and Trunk or Treat.  I do Trunk or Treat.  Generally we will have about 2000 people.

I live in a gated community so we never get kids.  I decorate with jack-o-lanterns but the last time I bought candy, I ate it all !!!

Last year we hardly had any and will be trying to find health items to keep my weight gain down!

Not us. We stopped partaking in Halloween several years back.
