We seems to have a language barrier here, Paul. What exactly does time off mean?

Paul, I work every day 7 days a week.  Sigh

I have what I call "office hours" and they are Monday -Friday, if needed I will work on a weekend but not often.

Good Thursday morning Paul. The days that I am not working in the business, I am working on the business. I do my best to take part of Sunday off.

I work when I need to. This week I have my boyfriend and dad in town. My hours will be very strange. Basically I will be available when I have time away from my guys. 

Paul - I work whenever the work is there, Monday through Sunday. If I do not have clients, I will work on my marketing, website, prospecting, etc. There is always something to do. I will take time off to do family things, whether it is on the weekend, or during the week.

if i play hookey, its a tue or wed or thur..usually in the pm. sat sun is busy usually

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington Good Question!  My published office hours are 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.  However - exceptions can be made by appointment.  Works well - no squawks from clients or other agents.

Weekends are busy - but when they are not and I have held them in reserve or faced cancellations it is disappointing because those are the times family time is often sacrificed.  

Our business has its own rhythm --- I have learned that to achieve my goals I have to rock to its beat. When it heats up, I'm on call and ready.

When presented with this question, I verify what day of the week it is, today is Thursday, and respond.

"I work weekends but take Wednesday and Thursday off." If they do not notice, you can be assured your days off do not matter.

It depends on what needs to be done that week.

What?  We get days off?  Not around here. We work 7 days a week and late nights too. 

I work when needed, the day does not matter. I do try to take off a day here or there but more realistically i get an afternoon off. 

Hi Paul -- I don't have a set schedule but try to take time away from work during my week.  

I work Mon-Fri all day, Saturday is a almost no work day just check emails, put our fires etc and Sunday is a 50/50 work/play. 

We feel guilty if we take time off.

I work whenever the client needs me with a few exceptions.

Sundays: I've been closed on Sundays for 10 years. I occasionally take a weekday off in addition, not instead, to mirror my bride's floating days off. I value my health, family, hobbies and my clients experience with me too much to not take a recharge day. 

Would you book eye surgery or brain surgery with a surgeon that is 24/7 like most Realtors claim to be? 

To each there own, but in my opinion working 7 days a week means you cheat your clients out of the recharged you. They get what's left of you (eventually) not the best of you. I can go hard 6 days a week happily, because I have Sundays to look forward to. Plus, the recharged me will out perform the 7th day you every time. 

I have a work plan that allows for time off during the week and Sunday mornings; unless an emergency or an impromptu out of towner!

this is a day off for me.... I'm not in the office....and I'm almost ready to leave to shop and tan,...

Having weekends off is an elusive dream for real estate professionals in our market unless you have team members to handle the weekend work. 

I try to work hard everyday except for Sunday

Every once in a while, I take off time during the week to be with my family. This Friday, for instance, a new exhibit will open at our Museum of LIfe and Science with a Member's Only tour, and I am only working a half-day so that I can go there with my wife, son, and daughter. We have been awaiting this opening for over a year!

I take time off every day. Always to exercise, walk the dogs, read, and meditate.

I am always on. I am off, between being on, meaning, no calls or activity I'm free to go and do what I choose. Remember, the cell phone is the office and my office travels with me

I work when I have clients, and squeeze in some time off to get personal items done, and household chores.

I have office hours during the week and work on weekend as needed.  Just depends on my client's needs.

I try to stick to weekdays.

I only know I have a long weekend in October and five days away in November. All the other days are very similar until years end. Happy New Year Paul!
