Vetting is a term I've most often heard in politics. It means to 'check out' or 'do your due diligence.'

Vetting is the process of researching some one or some thing.  We go through a vetting process when a company wants to be added to our preferred vendor list.

I think we have all been vetted Ginger, every client has to decide if we are the one for them.

To "vet" someone is to validate what they have told you about themselves, as well as doing your own investigation into the person's background.  If everything checks out ok, they have been "fully vetted"

its a fancy word for checking something or someone out in depth . know more about "it" or who than they do

it's synonymous with "qualifying"  I have had sellers say only "vetted" prospects may see their home.  No not just good credit, but good credit and means to purchase in that price range.

Vetting is just another word for further investigation, inspection, evaluation, etc.

You got some good definitions. One of my former high producer colleagues, when I was a new agent, used to "vet" prospects: she kept the promising ones, and referred out the ones that looked like a waste of time.
