Dime a dozen:
"Anything that is very cheap and abundant in quantity, something easily acquired."
Agents ARE a dime a dozen, experts not so abundant.
Expert: a person who has special skill or knowledge in some particular field; specialist; authority
It would be smart to control the context in which YOUR value is presented and keep the message on point regarding skill, knowledge, specialty or authority.
Stay tuned. A little ditty on authority is coming soon which is my business promotion method..

i think each client is treated like your first. like your first love. you will have others you know, but if each one is with fresh eyes... you might be surprised with the view, and the results

We area a dime a dozen and a commodity. It's not so much an issue of promotion (as so many do it), it's the issue of your communicating your unique selling proposition so that people don't see you as a commodity.

Provide good service and value. Ask for business, ask for leads, and work any lead that comes my way.

Awilda - In some areas, I do think we are a dime a dozen. It is hard to stand out for sure. You really just have to figure out what works for you in regards to marketing your business. There are a lot of different ways to be successful.

It is true, there are a lot of active realtors and even more those who got a license in hope of easy money. Yet, there are very few good ones. I do not worry about the competition.

The hardest thing in RE is to stand out. To be average or above average is not good enough. Only top 5% does 80% sales. It costs a lot of money to market yourself. Barbara Todato has written lots what works for her during her long career. I calculated it costs about <$1K per transaction per avg Eastern home. She got a big team each does different task. She got both new and exisiting homes.
