You have office staff to input your listings, etc. However, you pay dearly for that service. We were with CB for 10 years.

I do not have to explain who I work for KW and what they stand for. I also can call another agent or my market leader to ask a question. I have worked at offices were I had to figure a lot of thing for myself because the other agents did not know they answer or the broker. So I am very happy with KW.

I have a great referral base after all the years. I will stay with my independent brokerage.

The customer awareness. They also have some pretty cool marketing tools but you pay for them. I have been with ERA, Coldwell Banker, C-21, Prudential and now Berkshire Hathaway.

I've worked for two franchises and am currently with an independent. While I know some people like being associated with a franchise, the thing I liked best was leaving.

I am interested in seeing the answers to this question. I am currently an independent Broker and I have 14 agents (7 full-time agents). I do most of my marketing online. That being said, I am convinced a brand logo on my website would provide more "instant credibility" with buyers and sellers when they visit my website...especially for those relocating to our area. A brand would give me instant recognition over being a small independent.
However, I don't like the idea of a corporate office telling me where I may and may not open office locations since they might be too close to another franchisee.
I go back and forth about this issue almost daily so this topic really interests me.
