I keep a notebook and write down my crazy ideas, stories and things that happen. I then look back and use that for inspiration. Some days i have so much inspiration i write them ahaead and schedule them, other days i stare at the screen with nothing to write. 

It depends upon the subject matter.  The hardest part is deciding what to write.  Then there's adding photos etc.  which can take time. It's hard to say. 

It takes me a good 30 minutes to write a blog post, sometimes longer. For that reason, I don't blog every day.

It depends on what we are writing about.  For instance I wrote a post yesterday, and when I read it to Ron his suggestions and clarifications ended with us dumping what I wrote, and a totally new post emerged.  That took over an hour and a half...Then I looked for a pix to buy, and that was another half hour.  On a Wordless Wed type post, it takes a half hour to do...A

Daily one gets 2 days.  Weekly one gets 4.  Dick does alot of research.  They may look the same but each one is very unique.  Uploading pictures on AR is very time consuming.......extremely slow.

I'm like Cindy Davis, at least 30 minutes for most blogs and some much longer. And that is why I don't post many blogs. 

It depends.  Some can be quite quick while others can take a hour or so to research, take photos and format.   Yikes -- I think I need to get a life....

I write on and off so if it were all added up it may be about 20-30 minutes.

Still have not started this yet, but others here seem to be fairly quick with theirs.

Generally somewhere between 5 and 30 minutes, depends on whether I can find the right picture or not, or if I have to look something up.

Anywhere from 10 minutes to 4 hours. 

We write in bulk. I'll spend a few days a month writing a few dozen posts and then stockpile them for publishing. 

I enjoy quick post and this about as much time that I allow for posting. My best guess is about 20. i will not be one to write 2000 words. When I see a long post I usually don't finish. 

I'm very slow in creating every blog. Some bloggers post 10+ posts per day. When I grow up, I want to be like those members:)

It depends on what I'm writing. Market reports go quickly because I get the data from my MLS. Today's football schedule was quick, because the information was already there for me. Some posts I put a lot of time and research into...of course those take longer. 

Debbie - I wish I could write a daily post. Anyway, when I do write a post, it probably takes me an average of at least an hour to an hour and a half.

Most of the posts I write require some research in advance.

Debbie, it really varies, depending on the topic, subject & legnth.

Most of my blogs are short so they do not take a lot of time. If I start to time the hours spent on ActiveRain, I will have to consider the alternatives.

Some take 10 minutes to write, some take a couple of hours.

Debbie Reynolds I am not a good blogger of other topics, perhaps - so if I have to write something beyond market reports, I may take about an hour or so.

Market report posts are simple - about 15-20 minutes for each of them.

Of course, one of the things I plan to do is - Infographics for market reports - learning from Anita Clark and Dorie Dillard 's posts - and that is one of my marketing piece that I want to implement by the end of the year - or sooner.
