It depends, but if a P.A., or LLC. Most legal experts will all agree that the public should be informed that the added veil of protection exists. Regarding licensure; in California, we are required to post or license numbe under our name. In Florida; we are not required to do so.

I think it is a matter of personal choice and of course what the broker's policy is. I tend to think a cluttered business card doesn't impress but distracts. I am taking some initials off my cards.

I would not list any, even the GRI I got I don't put on my marketing. I prefer to built my brand as opposed to be known for the most amount of letters.

Other than what's required by your state licensing board for real estate, it is entirely up to you!

Designations are generally just about ego, seldom are they needed or desired by those reading the cards.

Hawaii requires us to show our license designation but the rest are optional, not necessary. I think it's best to show whatever represents your strengths and appeals to your market. Too much alphabet after our names just confuses people.

Not really. Most people don't know what they mean. no one has even asked me about them in 10 + years. I would consider using by best 2 or 3. The rest could be included on your website under the " about" tab.

Our state law requires us to indicate we are licensed. We can follow our name with REALTOR®, Real Estate Agent, or any other term which would state we are licensed.

Reference to the applicable legislation, regulations, rules etc. should be made with respect to the specific designations in the relevant jurisdictions. It may also be necessary to discuss with the appropriate granting, designating or regulatory authorities.

It is not necessary, but preferably. It is one of the reasons why we earn all of those designation, to show our clients that we make extra efforts to learn. Another question would be: do they care about all those abbreviations after our name?

Necessary? No! Some of us take more education to keep up with the market.

None. No one except another Realtor knows what they are and really, who cares? Keep the alphabet soup in the can.
