Already got a call from our guy. Don't panic he says. These things are like real estate up and down and always bounce back.

It's nothing I can do anything about. And lots of people are giving their opinions about this. Though they are all just guessing.

Most people are invested in stocks for the long haul. Momentary blips shouldn't mean a thing to the majority.

Like the weather, there's not much I can do about it but people certainly are talking and talking and talking.

It is overdue, any smart investor can see it coming, I have for a long time and have been loving Friday & Today.

If I knew for sure, I wouldn't be in the mortgage business. I think this is overdue, and in the long run, a good thing. QE didn't work, the bailouts solved nothing, the "too big to fails" are now bigger than before. Corporations have been building with fake (free) money.
I hated the response to the economic crisis (I think they should've let it burn rather than implementing the bailouts....would've made things worse at the time, but we would've had a real, tangible recovery), and I think it's still going to come back and bite us. Maybe this is the start of that.
Politically- the Fed chairs are against each other, but it's clear they can't raise rates with things being so fragile. Income and jobs aren't keeping up with prices (especially in housing), there's what looks like a huge tech bubble, and the available liquidity out is in the form of Monopoly money. I think something's gotta give

The stock market being down is horrific. Our nation is fully invested in the stock market and people no longer bounce between real estate and the stock market because they've recently been burned by both.

I think it will affect the Fed. I doubt now that they will raise the interest rates, as inflation seems to be in check with oil going down.A

It prob impacts the media more than anything. Gives them something to talk about. It may result in delay on raising interest rates.

Stocks move up and down, some see it as an opporunity while for the person getting ready to retire as of last week probably is not too happy to see their investments down. I am interested in seeing what happens here in the next couple of months regarding interest rates.
