I am in an admin role, but we do love the training at KW.

The only thing I remotely liked was that the current broker wasn't anywhere near as bad as the one he replaced (who was still working there as a salesman!) Leaving was the best decision I ever made!

when I was very green, I didn't know enough to judge anyone, but I certainly knew the broker/owner I selected for my first office (stayed 2 weeks) didn't know his ass from his elbow!!!

I learned all the things a good broker should not do from my first broker, I did not stay long.

My first Broker was Norm Cox at Coldwell Banker Vista Realty in Valencia, California. Mr. Cox was knowledgeable, patient, honest and an expert had teaching the right way to become a Realtor. He taught us to be honest and tell the truth to our clients in every situation. He could write a 5 page disclosure list on a brand new home. His incite to the economy and the future of real estate was unmatched. He was like a second father he cared that much about me as a person and as a Realtor. I've been in the business nearly 20 years, moved to another company, he's working 40 miles away and he's still my go to man.

I never really knew my first broker. She would not get close to the agents. I think she said hello to me once.

My one and only broker in California was a great guy, until his wife (unlicensed) started to get involved in the business. Got my broker's licensed after 3 years and never looked back.

What did I love about my first broker? Not much. He played favorites and heavily promoted high dollar, low value programs.
People looked at him as a coach and a sensitive person who really cared. He often cried at sales meetings. It was weird.

C-21 office that made us work 3 transactions with the office manager who was very good and taught me alot about contracts, negotiations. Did not like splitting commission with her but then she earned it.

The broker a new agent will like will be the broker with the insight to focus and guide the newbies beginning with what they know and are capable to do to get engaged in making money as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, that does not fall in alignment with the 'Collect the fee' business plan of most brokers.
I am unaware if or where such a broker exists.

I can't say I loved anything about my first broker but I'm now with my fourth and favorite. Love his availability, knowledge and proactive approach.

I liked the fact that I was the broker and the office was mine when I went into the business.

I absolutely did not love it at the time...but she made us do all the paperwork on our first 5 deals. She wanted us to know what was in our files, even if we decided to use a Transcaction Coordinator later. I have done all my own files ever since and appreciate the value of being on top of it myself.

I have been in real estate for 30 years and I will say I have had only 1 broker I have even liked. I did not even no or meet my first broker when I was a new agent.
