So far I have not had the pleasure to ride on SW.

Praful,

We like Southwest for its efficiency and access to smaller markets.  However, even Virgin has deteriorated.  The last flight we took from Boston to LA was miserable, and they messed up our reservation...we have miles with American and United, and they are usually unavailable for use when we need them...I think our airlines need to rethink their strategies.  The foreign airlines are doing a better job.  A

Southwest.  Our card miles are with AA so that's usually what we end up flying.

I'm with Nina Hollander ... although I can't say I hate the actual airlines,  I do hate the whole process of flying to a destination.  From getting to the airport, parking, dealing with check-in, security, waiting, loading, overhead baggage storage, sitting, getting to the bathroom (if you're in a window or center seat), terrible food, 3 peanuts, unloading, waiting for baggage, dealing with pick-up, blah, blah, blah.

My new pet peeve is that nobody talks to each other any more.  They all have their noses in their iPads or some other piece of technology from the moment they sit down until we unload.

P.S.:  I drive whenever possible... love me a good road trip!

Southwest!

But.... for low prices, no frills, a direct flight to my hometown, under $200 round trip--- (I hate to say it) Spirit.

I loved Southwest when I lived in AZ, but hard to beat Hawaiian Airlines here on the islands.

Southwest. I didn't like them when we first started using them, but I've grown to really like their service and you can't beat 2 free checked bags!

Looks like Southwest is a winner! Of course there were few airlines that I do not think come to Boston.

After flying them  a lot this year and based on the professional level of service and food (yes food) plus ontime schedules I will definitely say Avianca.

Praful Thakkar I used to like United, until they changed with smaller seat room, charging for bags, being late on arrival, etc. I would rather drive unless I really had to fly somewhere.

Virgin America blows away the competition! I used to fly mostly Southwest until 8 years ago. Now, Southwest is like K-mart to Virgin's Nordstrom service. I've flown 100,000's  of miles on both. I fly a lot. Delta is not bad for long distance continental. Had one of the worst experiences on an Alaska flight 3 years ago. Virgin America is number one baby! They are like flying nightclubs! Of course I'm also biased, since Richard Branson is my bride's boss.
