Well you beat me. I think I had 16 this morning - same sort of thing. But then I also got 5 SPAM leads. What a pain. It's gotten really bad recently - I think since the purchase and changing the URL. ope they can put some measures in place

Yes, I received many of them. All of them were comments on one blog.

I have not seen any spammers today.

Thankfully that hasn't happened to me. Knock on wood. I hope it stops happening for you, too. 

I too had about 20 comments, and then sent me 7-10 messages also, only with "1".    Guess they had nothing better to do!

Well at least your spammer wasn't a BEATLES fan for instead of "1" it would have been:

#9, #9, #9 ,#9, #9, . . . .

I received that from a recent post as well. I was so excited that so many people commented on my post, and rushed to see the feedback. There were 20 comments with that same numerical response from ananymous as well...

Yes they were comments and spam emails too. I wonder how many total penetrated the system.

Have not gotten spam as comments yet. That does not even try to sell something, so that seems like a waste of someone doing that. When will these spammers give up with their non-sense

All different user accounts, clearly same person.  Thinking about this from another angle- why do this? Typically a tiny post is a test.  AR has your credit card info if paid account. AR doesn't have much personal information to hack individuals.  Monitor any credit card used on this site. Change passwords regularily.

My guess is it is being done to harm AR

Yes, I have seen these on a bunch of posts and reported as well. Not sure what they are trying to achieve with it, except maybe using the user name as a tracer...to see where the spam comments stick (later they do searches on the web for those and keep adding). But, not sure the benefit of doing 20 comments in same post.
